Unlock The KeyA Poem by Conversing Empty Words
[size=9]Take a deep breath
when at the point of no return, the "never go(ing) back" being shoved in my face without that hand to extend, embrace, and catch. Am occupied by the thoughts that have thus far won/one against the ever so faded actions on the rebound(ing isn't for me). If it wasn't that feeling of giving in (or up)- although this is what you (and I are to) question- there'd be no point in easing (y)our mind. Exhale, and breathe (in). In this time of (no) breathing, I'll look into her eyes and trace the message being seen/scene. Find the inch of safety All over me, I feel your touch. More than just an closed eye, black is (not) all I see. Your movements tracing my face and hips and beyond. You're telling me to open my eyes. You tell me to breathe. The sounds of his voice are ever present and beating. I exhale with the reassuring sounds of your voice, "It'll be okay. Just breathe, pretty girl. Just breathe." Another deep breath. I feel my lungs collapsing. I feel my chest rising and falling faster than anticipated and I'm loosing (track of when the) blood (is pumping or receiving oxygen). Rush is making my body convulse and quiver. Rather not exhale; rely on your breathing. Reminders to breathe shouldn't be a necessity; a key-less mystery. Exhaling deeply. Repeat. © 2008 Conversing Empty Words |
