Love/Hate Relationship With LoveA Poem by John DupreyDo you ever have these moments where you love is great, then it sucks the next? I have.Seeing her hair blow
with the wind in the same pattern makes my face gleam. The natural sunlight
glowing on her face makes her smile much more attractive. I wave. She strolls towards
me. One step at a time
makes my heartbeat that much faster. She’s now just ten
feet away. Five. Three. One. Hello. She smiles. Instantaneously our
eyes close. Time is moving
slowly. This moment can last
forever. Our lips move closer
and closer. I almost taste her
cherry chapstick. I lie on my lips on
her. Time pressed play. We embrace each other
as fast as we can. Her soft lips slowly
touching mine. As I let go, I now
know what love feels like. I open my eyes. And there is nothing.
Nothing but air. I’m alone. Just another day
dream. Life. © 2015 John DupreyReviews
