The Storms' Destruction

The Storms' Destruction

A Poem by John Duprey

I approach the pathway to my destiny.

Shadows surround all around me.

They tease, they pick, and they destroy,

But they watch in horror anyways.

5, 4.

My tornado is spinning out of control.

It’s not a choice no more, no,

It is something I need to achieve.

I feel the wind start to pick me up,

I know it is coming.

3, 2.

The flashes of lightning sear what is left of my shattered body.

Everyone is scared, but I’m ready.

Sirens start to go off.

It’s time.

1.

The funnel cloud picks me up,

And I disappear.

Just like thin air.

This is such a great allegory. Using a tornado to depict bullying and how it can affect somebody. Kudos to you!
