Brink

Brink

A Poem by Dupree

I sit at the brink of madness

Here I contemplate my life

My choices haunt me here

Even those that once brought bliss

Now though they bring only strife

Perhaps it is only my fear

Well can you scooch over just a little, so I can sit next to you? The madness seems only a short click away far too often for most of us. :)

Sounds like you were in the middle of an epiphany.

Very good rhythm and excellent choice of words. Had trouble feeling the mood...is it fear, is it hope, or was the reader not supposed to figure it out because it's the confusion of jumbled emotions and that's what the brink of madness is about?
