Are we Ents?

Are we Ents?

A Poem by Dupree
"

So the title just kind of has to do with the comparison in the poem.

"

Years ago we were so different

But as the wind and earth

Twist and wither the trees

But between the lives we live

And the people allow in them

We slowly warp and wither

But we like them still grow

We become big and beautiful

Each so different but breathtaking

Each has been dealt damage

As have each of us

Scars are hidden on us all

Be it emotional or physical

We go about and see each other

But we never really take notice

Never really see those around us

Like nature the beauty and destruction

Of the human species is all around us

And yet we mainly notice the bad

Is there something in us that

Attracts our eyes to the horrible

Are we meant to not notice the good

Are we to just sit here and see the bad

Never meant see the beauty in each other
