Sanity?

another poem... do i write anything else

Sanity?

A non existent thing

It's like normality

A wonderful idea

but only that

We all live in

An insane mindset

Without it we

would not have

any ways of expression

Just my opinion...

So true - sanity is as unreal and overrated as normality. The whole world could only be normal if we were all clones of each other, or if we were all like Stepford wives. But that wouldn't exactly be very interesting.

I like this sort of poem, it tells the truth. Those claiming to be 'normal' or 'sane' are often the most mad. This is the sort of poem that reminds me that I'm OK with my own maddness, oddity and all-round strangeness.

Normality is over-rated, as is sanity. I wouldn't want to live in a world where everyone is the same.

Some punctuation is needed to make this a little easier to read. Just my opinion, but I think 'means' would be a better word than 'ways' on the second to last line.
