one missing compass point

one missing compass point

A Poem by Dupree
"

In memory of the wonderful man I had the great pleasure to call my grandfather.

"

the point is gone

so are you

so here i stand

wishing it weren't true

you were the one to guid me

and after all these years

you're no longer here

and so flow the tears

you were my north

strong and proud

and now that's gone

you fought so loud

to hasten death

but he still came

and life as i knew it

will never be the same

you were my north

but now i'm left with one

missing compass point

now that you're gone

Wow. Just wow. Impressive, emotional and great overall. The form is good, being that it vaguely looks like a compass point (the first line sort of ruins it by being wider than the second, but that's what criticism is for, eh looking for little things to fix).
I like the feel and emotion behind, it kind of reminds me of something I wrote 'the heart bleeds black', but I wouldn't say that this is as bad as that.
Cheers for a great read,
Brasso

This is really good... I can feel the sadness and frustration through this poem. Well written.
