The CrashA Poem by Patrick DunneI walked from the crash The willow blows, I'm alone blinded by the flash it's over son, go home
the willow blows, still alone standing where it happened long ago it's over son, go home I walk there every day, in rain or snow
Standing where it happened so long ago the tragedy haunts me in my sleep I walk there every day, even in snow it's been 30 years since the crash and still I weep
The tragedy haunts me, even in sleep the night, my fault, going crazy it's been 40 years since the crash and still I weep Trying to block it out, praying it will go hazy
That night, my fault, gone crazy blinded by the flash trying to block it out, memory hazy again I walked from the crash © 2011 Patrick DunneReviews
