Little Birdie

Little Birdie

A Poem by Cheavel DeLuna

Poison angel.

My work of art.

With wings so rich,

and eyes so bold.

My pretty birdie,

your feathers bright,

eloquent and stirring.

Pretty birdie,

such moving hues,

like ocean skies at break of night.

Who once was my greatest enemy,

now my closest friend.

Hot coffee.

Your soul divine.

You pitiless creature.

Weapon of mine.
