Sandwich and Rune

Sandwich and Rune

A Poem by Cheavel DeLuna
"

written about my new kittens

"

Problems fall away,

at whisker framed faces.

Nothing seems important enough,

to deny you my affections.

Your fur against my skin,

claws against me finger tips.

Nothing seems to worry you,

as long as attention is yours.

So I’ll leave my worries for later,

for I know that they’ll be back.

But for now I will resist no longer,

as you call me to your steps.

Two little fur balls,

warm with delight.

Oh, I like this. There is something so comforting about an animal whose world begins and ends with you.
