Saint Valentine's Day Sonnet

Saint Valentine's Day Sonnet

A Poem by Duncan Brown

Sweet are the dreams that lay unseen
And sweeter still those songs unheard
Dwelling in slumbers uncharted scene
Beyond the horizon of waking sound.

Unfurled in realms of silken thought
Unfolding visions await that presence
Rich in the songs of the purest in heart
Playing symphonies for your essence.

The pouring wine of flowering truth
Decants the fragrance of a loveliness
Cherished upon the grace laced mirth
Dancing across a countenance of bliss.
And in those dreams of the sacred sylph
 Revelation unveils her secret hieroglyph.
