Rise and Fall Happens

Rise and Fall Happens

A Poem by Duncan Brown

Rise and fall happens to us all

Worlds arise as they diminish

Like souls when they hear the call

Tomorrow follows yesterday

Life begins when it ends

In the finite moments of eternity

The world is us at our daily play

Travelling hopefully as we go

Trespassing time upon mortal day

Descending to dust’s embrace

Each leaf that sheds the tree

Rises beautifully in another place

In life death and resurrection

Unto us each one and many

Truth redeems us from destruction.

There's a lot of truth in this wee poem. I am a firm believer that less is often more. I like turning tit over arse as in leaf that sheds the tree. Also I identify with the last line - as we should all do!
Cheers,
Alan
