William Blake

William Blake

A Poem by Duncan Brown

Touched by the presence ofbeauty

Wisdom pours like wine on words
Seeping into the dust of humanity

Writ truth upon your sacred vision

Delivering light from the vastness

Of every single grain of existence

Dwelling upon the heart of poetry

Waxing lyrically sweet fantastic

On the written leaves of mystery

Engraved in songs of experience

Delivered in tones of innocence

Illuminating the soul of literature

Flourishing beautifully in heaven

In the revelation of a single flower

Which infinity gifted us in colour

To light our journey in the darkness

Towards love's sweetest redemption

In that moment and in that houring

Of our wild wild wildest flowering.
