Fallen's Dereliction

Fallen's Dereliction

A Poem by Dunamis Pneuma

Cool as silk and a tongue of silver, with the promise of power and knowledge. Naked innocence over taken by selective reasoning, to damn perfection. The vale lifted, the eye awakened, and the curse laid upon the fallen. Sweat to collect upon the brow and pain to bear witness to life. Taken from life to cover the shame of realization and exiled from grace. Dust to return to dust and blood to stain the rock of man. Content to bleed and burn without a trace of remorse to be found. Left in dereliction, woeful to behold, and fickle in praise. Insatiable by perfection yet constant in yearning for salvation and damnation. Rebellious in heart and mind, the willing slave, and bigoted before the morning star. Silver sealed by a kiss and hope traded for pleasure. Truth traded for murder, denial thrice counted, and thorns set into a crown. Fashioned to perfect death and silence the heir of the man. With the reward of knowledge and the price of death.

Author's Note

Dunamis Pneuma
I don't know how to edit it so that it looks more presentable so bare with me and let the words just tell a story.
