Obscurity

Obscurity

A Poem by Dunamis Pneuma

Obscurity

Lost, but never far from found. Wandering through a haze of misfortune, and grace trying to find a grain of reconciliation along a path riddled with vacant memories. With a battered heart, it is caught in a never-ending sequential ballet. Conjoined unable to pry itself away from its cancerous deformation that left it half-whole, and half-hearted. While it searches for a long lost covenant, for its soul, and salvation to stale its damnation. Tirelessly it walks, the need calling it, pulling it closer to the end. Lost to infinity, fallen from eternity, and brought down by humility. Fear grips it, as it waits to stand trial for complying with the world’s reality. Its voice decaying in the relentless howl of the charlatan. Restrained by an illusory judgment, freed by a monochrome declaration, to petition, and unite it with its lost covenant. Their words are like salt in the wound, and the pain its price to pay for all it has done. Weary, but steadfast to a resolution spoken by an omniscient rex through voices of the ironically righteous. Gone are the days of its ignorant youth, hope and faith are all it has left now. Found, but never far from lost.
