Remnants of Modernity

Remnants of Modernity

A Poem by Ryan Dulac

The starry night is concealed by remnants of modernity
Where sadness with hiccups of happiness reside
Where loneliness and oneliness spread like plague
Where obscure existence is expressed with obscurity
Where the only thing that is certain is uncertainty
Where neighbors are no longer neighbors
Where meaning is meaningless
Where uncreativity is creative
Where painlessness is painful

sure. modernity has its own share of problems
but doesn't the chaotic world hold a beauty of its own?
hiccups of happiness --- like this so much
good work!
