|F**k Self Sufficiency|

|F**k Self Sufficiency|

A Poem by A.L.

What’s the point of living.

If I’ll always be this way.

Merely a spec in the air.

Just existing.

Never landing.

Becoming the person I’ve always dreaded.

Talking to empty rooms and deaf ears.

I don’t want to have a life that isn’t shared.

I don’t want to suffer this alone.

F**k this idea of self sufficiency.

I’ve been living on toxic air for far too long.

I need a companion.

I need a partner.

I need a filter.

I need rescue.

A.L.

I agree A.L. We need to walk the path of life with someone. Need more friends and kindred brothers and sisters.

I do understand the lines above. Thank you my friend for sharing the amazing poetry and your thoughts.

Strong words reach out in spectacular fashion to share the loneliness, and fragility of life. A lot of pain seeps through, it’s so real leaving the reader helpless.

This is powerful and to the point. I agree. What good is self sufficiency without someone to share it with. Beautiful .

It's sad to know that SuperMan won't bother saving us children of Luthor, call us Luthorians? The age of those lost in a space that can't leave a trace in the galaxy, no matter how strong the gravatational pull.

Yes, quizas sigo siendo un tonto, but maybe our magnetic fields can still attract something, even if its the wrong things, they somehow feel like jewels.

the imagery evokes the sense of the ephemeral, fleeting and insignificance.

spec in the air

empty rooms and deaf ears

toxic air

The idea of "self-sufficiency" itself my be what's poisoning the air, heart, life.
It's an insidious idea esp in the U.S. when the cowboy always rides off into the sunset ALONE.

It can account for a sorta national and individual neurosis and emptiness.

And this narrator seems to be realizing this and seeking a filter, partner - love

Reminds me of something I wrote a while ago - 'morality doesn't warm beds

Anywho, liked. Good stuff.
