Needy

Uploading things here is strangely liberating. Anyways, Needy is a poem about my emotional attachments that I tend to form to people I truly care about.

Tell me you need me,
Tell me it now.
Promise it to me,
make it a vow.
Don't lie and don't cheat,
with some other guy.
Tell me you love me,
when you look me in the eye.
Be honest and faithful,
show me you care.
Make me feel happy,
floating on air.
Don't hold me down,
don't make me cry,
Make me feel better,
unready to die.
The days get longer,
and I get blue.
Tell me you need me.
I sure need you.

Wow .. emotionally filled here.. this certainly is a tribute to feeling needy for someone.. hopefully just that one special person and not just anybody. Love your lines and deeply agree with all but especially:

There are so many key elements to loving someone but the faith and trust definitely has to be there in my view.. thank you so much for sharing.. =)

...jeez. I should certainly hope my man wouldn't cheat on me with another guy, but beyond that, this sound like I could have written it VERBATIM. Kudos to you for admitting that you're needy in such a beautiful poem. I'm the freakin' queen of need, so I empathize 100% - which is also what I'm rating this as. And it's going in my library because it's that good. Excellent job on this, goofy.

The poem in totality is good, although I'd like to just point out something I have noticed.

"Tell me it now." I think it'll be better if you change it to this. "Tell it to me now."

Well, that's only on my opinion.

This poem is expressive. Shows the vulnerable side of a persons who loves so deeply. ^___^
