WhisperA Poem by SemajJealousy of another writter
You write and write yet the words never escape your mouth.
The constant gander at everyone's work, puts a weight on your hand, seeming to force words on paper not your own. Judging as you write followed by a rewrite after rewrite, ripping pages, which leaves their own mark. "You'll never write as good" you say as jealousness grows. It weighs down on your shoulder, becoming unbearable, yet you keep scribbling. Connecting pieces of a puzzle you made through a strangers eyes. Placing yourself in shoes you'll never fill. Speaking words infected by the host, becoming a story you'll never write. Filling a shadow you wanted too create. The pen hits the paper, scrambling too find your voice. Deciding others have a louder tone, you force your one down only to speak in a whisper. © 2019 SemajAuthor's Note
