The Formula

Note: For the purposes of the Spontaneous Poetry contest I'm entering this into, I did write this directly into WC in only a couple of minutes.

One, two, three, four...

I've got another way to say I'm sorry,

talk to the one with the fading conscience,

tell me to say that I know just how you feel.

Fade to black and fade forever,

I've got the apathy that you would treasure,

I've got the words that are sure to make feel

like love is falling, love is falling

down upon your silky daydreams,

down upon your head just like the sky.

Say you love me, say forever,

just to make me crash and burn so

quick, the sickness tears inside my head.

So...

Tell me about your heart, it's beating

out of time and out of feeling,

I've got the words that are sure to make it stop.

Oh

I've got the formula for something,

call it a game or call in nothing,

sure to make the clock stop ticking, stop,

cause love is falling, love is falling

down upon your silky daydreams,

For this being an off the cuff write, I think you did a fantastic job of it! I also think this speaks of new love, or spring time twitterpations...I like it. It captures the not knowing of how the other feels, and maybe, sometimes, it's better that we don't know what's inside our love's head.

Very nice :) I can see this totally being a song.. maybe a country song like Carrie Underwood.... I read the lines in stanza 4 to the tone of that song "Keep on wishin, missin, the still of the morning, the .. of the night..." haha yeah dont really know the words to that song but i know the tune :) awesome poem :)
