A Million ButterfliesA Poem by Breezie KaeWritten in 8th grade. MAYBE 7th. But I think 8th. XDSomewhere between the casual gossip, the lies and the fakes, there was you. And I still don’t know why, but you just seemed to shine through. I don’t know how you do it, but there’s a million butterflies for each day I’ve known you. And it all seemed so innocent; I joined in and chatted about your vibrant hair, and your unique stare, and how you always make me laugh. My cheeks turn bright red when I see you, the whole world seems alight. I’ll let the feeling stay for one more night. I’ll tell you tomorrow, or the day after that. Or how about Valentine’s, how romantic is that? It just isn’t right, maybe the day after next? Until I run out of days and tears to shed. © 2010 Breezie KaeReviews
