LithographyA Poem by Breezie Kae
Please, don't take this away from me,
I'm one foot forward and I'm holding the key, so please. Please, don't take this away tonight, I'm all for nothing and this time is the time. I said that I knew what my dream was, but I didn't know, when I told you what it was, I guess it was all for show. I said I'd get myself a nice, form-fit, comfortable life, and I'd live it right, nice, without the pain or the strife. But the thing they didn't mention, that it couldn't be done, and they left me strung up, and always following sun. It was just a matter of time before I got burnt, and I didn't even recognize the feeling as hurt. Because when all of your dreams are impossible, nothing crushes you down more. When all of the odds are improbable, nothing crushes you down more. Please, don't take this away from me, I'm one foot forward and I'm holding the key, so please. Please, don't take this away tonight, I'm all for nothing and this time is the time. All I can do is beg and plead over and over again, the downs are killer but the ups nothing short of zen. I get by at the end of the knife, no wonder why all my favorite songs are the ones that make me cry. But I'm getting so caught up in all your lithographs, with the brighter the colors, the more it makes me laugh that I'm so down on my self at the end of the day when the clock is ticking its own life away, but hey. It seems that it's true, that you is only you. And true is only true, true is only you. Please, don't take this away from me, I'm one foot forward and I'm holding the key, so please. Please, don't take this away tonight, I'm all for nothing and this time is the time.
