Sanctuary

Written in 7th grade.

We all need

a place to escape,

to escape from reality.

A personal haven

when times get tough,

and there is nowhere

else to turn.

 

We all need

somewhere we are safe,

safe from out pain and regrets.

To get away from the past.

and what we have lost.

A place where

we are free.

 

A wish and a dream

that won’t be.
