An Ode to Cheetos

An Ode to Cheetos

A Poem by Breezie Kae
"

My poetry teacher said it was impossible to right a "good poem" about Cheetos.

"
Opening a smooth, crisp bag;
an aroma of a fresh bag of junk food.
The orange evidence covers my fingertips
showing off my indulgence.

The crunch of this processed snack comes alive,
crumbling between my teeth.
The flavor of cheese delights my taste buds,
dissolving remains in my stomach.

Cute poem, I love cheetos. Delicious. The description is good and fluid, very realistic. I do have to disagree with the previous writer because a bag of cheetos is very smooth to the touch but it's crisp because the crinkling of the bag is clearly defined. I like the addition of "processed snack" very nice. I'm not so sure about the "crumbling between my teeth" part though, it seems off to me. Otherwise, good poem, very detailed.
