Smells Like Sweet

Smells Like Sweet

A Poem by Breezie Kae
"

I've found that haikus translate well to songs.

"

What it seems to me,

it seems that this fire’s too much

when the summer comes.

Your eyes smell so sweet,

just like the taste of ice cream

in the summertime.

Don’t use this against

me, cause I know what I want,

and it smells like sweet.

It smells like sweet,

oh, and smells like you.

It smells like sugar, darling,

and it smells like you.

What it seems to me,

it seems that love has become

a synonym for "

Well, I think that it’s

so sweet, thinking ‘bout sun, fun

in the summertime.

Don’t use this against

me, cause I know what I want,

and it smells like sweet.

It smells like sweet,

oh, and smells like you.

It smells like sugar, darling,

and it smells like you.

Could you tell what I want

from the way I’ve been

chock full of inhibitions

Read my mind,

light a match in it,

To good times,

light it fast and sweet.

It smells like sweet,

oh, and smells like you.

It smells like sugar, darling,

and it smells like you.

I love the line "your eyes smell so sweet". It doesn't seem like it should make sense, but it pulls the feeling together perfectly.
