![]() Tough LoveA Poem by Breezie Kae
I heard singing the day that I got over you,
singing 'bout the sun and the sky so blue. I know it's cliche, but by the way, so much better days without you on my mind, on my mind. But today, I looked at you and thought, why the hell not, you're the best I'll never do. Today, I looked at you and thought, why the hell not, there's not much to compare you to. Settle, I think I'll settle for the sake of another muse, it seems to be your only use. Settle, I think I'll settle, if you'll let me settle that high, all for the sake of this rhyme. Get some tough love, it seems to be the answer to the goddamn spinning, and the wishing for something new. I know you're unaware, but I don"t care, I'll show you there if I ever cross your mind, cross your mind. Today, I looked at me and said, "why the hell not, you're still so damn young." Today, I looked at me and said "don't let your guard down, it's about time that you won." Settle, I think I'll settle for the sake of another muse, it seems to be your only use. Settle, I think I'll settle, if you'll let me settle that high, all for the sake of this rhyme. You got brown eyes, a disguise, a smile, your style, good taste, love waste, it's just to say, you're my way. You got long hair, you won't tear, I'm unaware, you're not fair. Tough love, get some, tough love, get some. Settle, I think I'll settle for the sake of another muse, it seems to be your only use. Settle, I think I'll settle, if you'll let me settle that high, all for the sake of this rhyme. Don't let your guard down this time. Tough love, get some. © 2010 Breezie Kae |
