GoldA Poem by Breezie KaeI never would have said a year ago that my life’s looking pretty beautiful; the rain is crystal and the sun is gold, and I feel like leaving home. I want to play a song for you, I want to play the best there is. You got to start somewhere and the starting’s good, and I feel like leaving home. Leaving home, cause skyward’s where you’ll stay. Leaving home, but never feeling quite so far away. I got to say something while I’m still here thinking, maybe this isn’t home. The thing I would have said so long ago, that I live for something big and I’m a miracle; I guess what they said might just be shown, and I might just get to leaving home. I want to write some words for you, I want to write the best there is. They say I got the way and the way is good, and I might just get to leaving home. Leaving home, cause skyward’s where you’ll stay. Leaving home, but never feeling quite so far away. I got to say something while I’m still here thinking, maybe this isn’t home. Maybe, just maybe, this isn’t where I’m supposed to go. Maybe, just maybe, I belong on the road, that glitters cause it’s gold. And I can see it now, I can see it shining, everything, it shines. The music hangs and glistens, and tells me that it’s fine. Oh maybe, just maybe, I belong on the road, that glitters cause it’s gold. © 2010 Breezie KaeReviews
