A Poem by Breezie Kae

Poetry is what seeks your mind
in seclusion;
it seeks your heart in the dark.
It seeks your soul in a way of speaking;
it seeks pleasantry.

Then the music speaks for you,
and the words aren't needed.
But the words are the roots;
your thoughts are planted,
words give you the vitality
to sprout out a song -
state your place in this world.

Words anchor you -
words don't forget where you are.
Words are produced
through the stream of consciousness you pursue.

Words are to you
the reason for living.
And the song,
that beautiful flower,
is your outlet.
