Dumbstruck

Dumbstruck

A Poem by Breezie Kae

I feel like crying,

is it so simple denying

that you wanted it this way,

oh you wanted it this way?

I’m screaming

at the birds now,

that I wanted it this way,

that I wanted it this way, yeah, yeah.

I wanted nothing less than to hold you just to hold your hand,

then take a dip in this pool, so cool, this pool they call a-romant-

tic atmosphere, take a look at me,

and I’ll kiss you slowly.

Now

I feel so dumbstruck.

Is it so simple saying, with my luck,

that I want a chance with you today?

Let’s start this thing right away.

I’m screaming

at the birds now,

that I wanted it this way,

that I wanted it this way, yeah, yeah.

I wanted nothing less than to hold you just to hold your hand,

then take a dip in this pool, so cool, this pool they call a-romant-

tic atmosphere, take a look at me,

and I’ll kiss you slowly.

It’s just a dumb love song I keep locked away inside.

I’m scared of myself, I’m scared of you, I’ve lost my pride.

I want you, and I want to

say what’s on my mind.

That I wanted nothing less than to hold you just to hold your hand,

then take a dip in this pool, so cool, this pool they call a-romant-

tic atmosphere, take a look at me,

and I’ll kiss you slowly, now.

I wanted nothing less than to hold you just to hold your hand,

then take a dip in this pool, so cool, this pool they call a-romant-

tic atmosphere, take a look at me,

and I’ll kiss you slowly.
