Love Songs

Love Songs

A Poem by Breezie Kae

I’m so tired of these love songs,

they have something that I don’t,

they have wisdom that I lack,

they know something that I won’t.

I’m so tired of these smiles

of these lovers new and old,

they have something that I can’t,

they have warmth through all this cold.

Something’s telling me,

something’s telling me,

don’t feel sorry for yourself.

Something’s telling me,

something’s telling me,

but through sleepless thoughts I tell

that I might love you,

yeah I might love you,

I don’t want to love you

but I might love you.

I’m so tired of motivation,

guess you could call me hopeless.

Guess you could call me dumbstruck,

I’d rather just sleep through it.

Because in dreams I can be what I want,

I can be your love,

I can be your love,

may as well don’t bother, but

something’s telling me,

something’s telling me,

don’t feel sorry for yourself.

Something’s telling me,

something’s telling me,

but through sleepless thoughts I tell

That I might love you,

yeah I might love you,

I don’t want to love you

but I might love you.
