If You Call That Divine

If You Call That Divine

A Poem by Breezie Kae
"

Mostly written sophomore year.

"

This is my policy on breaking promises;

if they wouldn’t know the difference,

it’s not hurting them.

Well who knows, maybe we’ll call it even.

That’s my defense,

that’s my reason.

When I said I got wrapped up again,

I didn’t mean with you.

When I said you didn’t care,

I really meant I know you do.

When I said that you’re a douchebag

but you’ve got the best intentions,

I guess that’s my divine intervention.

This is my policy on “learning from the truth;"

yeah you didn’t know the difference,

well now the joke’s on you.

Well come on, maybe we’ll find some reason.

Call it divine,

call it treason.

Well I know that you are there when I

crash after the fall,

and I know I can’t rely on

anyone cause after all,

I’ve got so far to go now,

time to give my best intentions.

Maybe it’s divine intervention.

When I said I got wrapped up again,

I didn’t mean with you.

When I said you didn’t care,

I really meant I know you do.

When I said that you’re a douchebag

but you’ve got the best intentions,

I guess that’s my divine intervention.
