In my dream last night, I held your hand

so tight, and we just laid there,

but I can’t see my lying next to you.

 

I imagined that you looked at me

and felt what I was thinking,

but I can’t see you thinking much of me.

 

Well I spent too long

thinking how I need some balls,

you know it’s true.

 

Well I wrote a song,

but I never spoke a word,

I only thought I’d see myself with you.

 

I had a dream,

but it doesn’t really matter.

I let another moment pass me by.

 

The things in my head, that I’m

not saying, well they’re still here,

I just thought I’d let you know.

 

So I backed off, rightly,

because I know that I’m too late,

it’s all I can do.

guess I’m learning again,

I only thought I’d see myself with you.

I love love love this. The second stanza is my favorite. You have an excellent sense of rhythm.
