Dear MarzettiA Poem by Breezie Kae9/9/2009. Delirious unconnected thoughts.
I can’t sleep, yeah, got a fire in my brain. I can’t sleep, yeah, sounds of crickets and rain bounce again, and again, on the sidewalk again. Asphalt dreary, dear Marzetti, have you got a new friend? Have you got a new friend? I can’t sleep, yeah, so I write down a tune, I can’t sleep, yeah, man, don’t blow you a fuse. Colonel, Colonel, are you spiced up, filled up with poppy seed? Agent, quickly, fill this word up, slick it with gasoline. Slick it with gasoline. Sing a song before you lose your breath, sing a song then try to catch some rest. I can’t fly, yeah, think I’m losing my head. I can’t fly, yeah, get your a*s out of bed. Salty shaker, make your mind up, kerosene in your eye. Money maker, get your fold up, so incredibly fine. So incredibly fine. I need sleep, yeah, think I’ll spill out the rest. I need sleep, yeah, loose-leaf thoughts on my chest. Macaroni, sober pony, he’s incredibly high. Royal rich boy, keep it nosey, till the day that you die. Till the day that you die.
