The Hardest PartA Poem by Breezie KaeWritten during sophomore year.
Empty promises never keep, I cannot sleep, for a lie to another friend. And even when I don’t know why, I was just born to try to make you feel everything I do. The hardest part is when I see through you. And when I see you walk away, I know that I’m the one to blame. I’m sorry I pushed you away, but could you give me one more chance? I only wish I could explain, I lived for you that yesterday. When life is falling clear as rain, please try to understand This has nothing to do with you, I’m crazy. I blamed you but I cannot take that back. I squeezed you so hard till you had enough, but that’s okay. Bottled up and watch the glass walls crack. Empty promises never keep, but this promise meant so much. And I told you everything, It wasn’t nearly enough. And the hardest part is silence. I know that I’m the one to blame. I’m sorry I pushed you away, but could you give me one more chance? I only wish I could explain, I lived for you that yesterday. When life is falling clear as rain, please try to understand. The hardest part is knowing that you’re done, the hardest part was when you proved me wrong, the hardest part is knowing that you cared, the hardest part is knowing you were there. The hardest part is knowing that you’re done, the hardest part was when you proved me wrong, the hardest part is learning from the truth, the hardest part is when I see through you. I know that I’m the one to blame. I’m sorry I pushed you away, but could you give me one more chance? I only wish I could explain, I lived for you that yesterday. When life is falling clear as rain, please try to understand. © 2010 Breezie KaeReviews
