Summer Turns to Snow

Summer Turns to Snow

A Poem by Breezie Kae
"

First half written during the summer between freshman and sophomore year, second half written during sophomore year.

"

Relatively, you’ve got somewhere to head,

I’m singing there, the melodies in my head.

Your radiance and everything you said;

don’t worry about me,

you’ve got somewhere to be.

Generally, I can’t help to conceive,

there comes the time you’re all that I believe.

The summer winds and bliss you can’t perceive;

don’t worry about me,

you’ve got something to see.

Don’t worry about me,

don’t worry;

you’ll stay there breathing,

I’ll just stay here dreaming,

‘bout a better day

and all the things left the same.

Don’t worry about me,

don’t worry;

I’ll live and I’ll die

for the moonlit breeze,

and your were here,

your were here for me.

You were saving me.

Figuratively, I’ve got so far to go,

I lose my way when summer turns to snow.

I write for you the things you’ll never know;

don’t worry about me,

you have a life to lead.

Pathetically, I call up to the clouds,

I know someday I’ll find my way around.

I feel your song, it doesn’t make a sound;

don’t worry about me,

You’ll find what’s meant to be.

Don’t worry about me,

don’t worry;

you’ll stay there breathing,

I’ll just stay here dreaming,

‘bout a better day

and all the things left the same.

Don’t worry about me,

don’t worry;

I’ll live and I’ll die

for the moonlit breeze,

and your were here,

your were here for me.

You were saving me.

So there you are,

you were so far,

but now you’re too close.

I overshot and missed completely.

And time stops,

and there’s nothing to say again.

Nothing I say

will ever change a thing.

Perhaps it’s best if I never

see you again.

Don’t want to see

your face.

I had the grace to know you,

now there’s nothing to hold onto,

no promises left to keep,

nothing more to keep,

goodbye.

Don’t worry about me,

don’t worry;

you’ll stay there breathing,

I’ll just stay here dreaming,

‘bout a better day

and all the things left the same.

Don’t worry about me,

don’t worry;

I’ll live and I’ll die

for the moonlit breeze,

and your were here,

your were here for me.

You were saving me.
