Somefaithful

Written during freshman year.

I want you to teach me,

somehow,
something of matter.

I want you to confide
in you,
for I feel this instant
trust,

someway, somewhy,
something or nothing,
or anything.

Teach me and guide me,
preach me your sermon,
because for the first time,

someway,
for something,

I am willing to hear.
Because I want to be
guided
without the sacrifice of free will.

Someone, something,
somehow a mentor.

But why you,
when you still haven’t guided
yourself?

Someway, somehow,
I wish to know.

What are you feeling,
what are you knowing?

And somehow,
somefeeling, somethought,

I never thought I’d write
for you.
