Doubting Perfection

Doubting Perfection

A Poem by Breezie Kae
"

Written during freshman year.

"

So maybe it’s different,
maybe it might just work.
But then why does it feel
like pieces
falling
away?

And can all the pieces fit,
and perfection prevail?
Or this fear of never feeling
the same?

I just want to be acknowledged,
I want somebody to care
for me
as I cared.

But do you care?
Do you feel?

You fooled me but it’s dying
before it ever really begins.

Can you know me?

I just need for you to prove it.
Because, if we could make this work
it would be so close
to perfect.

Or at least happy.
