Nothing More Than A Shoulder

Nothing More Than A Shoulder

A Poem by Breezie Kae
"

Written during freshman year.

"

Forget - stop forgiving,

for she's the one

that abandoned you.

She stole what you had

when she thought she had nothing.

But when she looks back

she'll see she sacrificed

the best of her

for what she desired.

So turn back;

you're not her shoulder.

Not regretting memories

but not taking them back,

because you have more

than her.

She only has shoulder's worth,

while you have worth.

So if she wants to feel abandoned

then it's about time

someone abandoned her.

She'll realize what she had

when there's nothing more.

It didn't really flow for me and I had a hard time understanding it, but once I went back and read it a second time I decided I liked the theme.
