Life vs. Death

Written during freshman year.

Watchful eyes
or serene stares,
life began
for those in the sidelines.
For life can be found
in death again,

but love,
love is all they ever wanted.
And even peace
can be so chaotic,
till the point it numbs you
and you learn to not care.

Even pain doesn't hurt anymore,
was that what you wanted?

For love is pain,
and pain is love,
when you've felt both
but not nearly enough.

A silent conversation
to resurrect emotions,
born again.

But death can be found
in life again.
