Living Color

Living Color

A Poem by Breezie Kae
"

Written during freshman year.

"

Blue.

Blue are your eyes

if you’re willing to see it.

Green is my bittersweet envy

for the white of your serenity.

Pink is my cheeks when you realize

that red is the tone of my heart.

And grey is the shade

of wishes wished away,

and black is the soul as it sleeps.

But with rainbow fantasies

and black and white dreams,

do you speak in living color?

This is a very good and metaphorical poem. I enjoyed the imagery, and I can relate to the overall meaning.

Thanks for sharing.:)

"And grey is the shade/of wishes wished away"

That line is like my absolute favorite in this poem for some reason.

Maybe it's because grey is such a..... sad color if you think about it.

And wishes wished away is an event that is always sad. lol
