A Poem by Zoie Pain

She gets mad when I get to drunk at the bar,

I come home stumblin’

Vodka infused “I love you”s

She’s not amused

She gets that look,

It tells me I’ve gone too far,

But she’s smiling while she fusses

when she  puts me in my place,

Get’s jealous when I kiss girls at the bar

But plays it cool because she's undercover

You know how they are

I make sure she’s watching

when my lips meet thiers then

I watch fire burn in her eyes

she just smiles

Smoking that her cigarette

Never tells me what she’s thinking

And her eyes will lie to you if you’re not careful

She'll make you forget every other girls name

She'll never be enough, but she's more then you can hold

Beautiful in the distance

A beautiful mess when she's at her best

I grew up in what use to be the small town of Savannah GA. Since I moved away 2 years ago it seems that everything there is now booming into an uncontrolled big city. The thought makes me sad. I live .. more..
