Katie

Katie

A Poem by Zoie Pain

She comes in the middle of the night
When I've drank too much and I need to fight
or just have a good time
She comes in the back
Her hands are soft
when she moves the hair from my neck
leaving bits of her lipstick on my skin

she always lets me in
lets me f**k away this pain
and never judges when I cry
she just slows down
taking her time her hands trace my curves
grinding and binding

Our bodies twisted into each others
we're all legs in the air
and short of breath
"mmmm God right there"
and she calls out when she's almost done
I feel her nails in my back
fingers tangled in my hair

Hours later she's sleeping in my bed
I'm smoking the after f**k cigarette
on the end of the bed looking out into the darkness
sheet just covering her butt bare back exposed
moon like bouncing off
and I just want to pretend

Pretend this is real if only for right now
its nice to have a body
if to nothing else hold on to
and stay on the ground

But she makes me so mad
cause she use to love me
use to talk about forever
It never would have worked,
but sometimes at night we pretend
this passion is more the booze driven
and she knows all the things to say
how to touch me just right

fingers brushing my face
I lay down she moves to cuddle
her head on my chest
I run my fingers through her hair
she just falls back to sleep
while I lay awake thinking of the one
I wish was there
Just for now she will have to do
cause I'm waiting and getting no where soon

About
I grew up in what use to be the small town of Savannah GA. Since I moved away 2 years ago it seems that everything there is now booming into an uncontrolled big city. The thought makes me sad. I live .. more..
