Nightmares

So. I have insomnia, as most of you know.Whenever I DO fall asleep, I have nightmares. Of the Freddy Kreuger type. This was written after a particularly stressful day(So much for lucid dreaming, Ehh?)

Look into my eyes.
Embark on a journey, new.
Visit the dark corners of the mind.
Those places you're too scared to go to.
Block out every sound.
Listen to my voice, unholy.
Let go of your reality.
Let nightmares unfold
Forget all you've learnt before.
I'll teach you fresh from scratch.
For in the class of pain and blood.
There is no turning back.
Light outside the windows,
But dark inside your soul.
Feel the pitch black seeping in.
From beneath every crease and fold.
You've shunned them out too long.
The demons seek revenge.
To sink their claws into your flesh,
to flay your skin as your jaws clench.
Feel the rawness of your skin.
When the cool night breeze hits.
Your moans and screams are muffled.
As your blood steadily drips.
Their fingers, bloody, now reach your heart.
Your burning reaches a crescendo.
The pain and darkness are in harmony now.
Your broken body lets go.
No more pain tonight,
Dawn is about to break.
The nightmare ends for tonight.
It's time for you to wake.

Well if telling you how I like is the thing then I did. It is difficult enough trying to wrap ones head on the workins of the mind during walking state, during sleep conciousness is even harder and in here you describe the unfouldings of a somehwat darker phase I felt as if something was trying to work itself out. As shunned them out too long will give as a clue. And surely enough if they are not taking through conciously during the day then they will come back to haunt you. I felt the desire I also felt the tension and to certain extent the acceptance of change becuase as it is there doesnt seem to be much rest.

This was really good! I'm not such an expert on poetry, so I can't comment on constructive criticism regarding it. Apologies for that; I didn't catch any spelling typos. Your wording and the flow of it was really well done. When you had commas between the words in the phrases it kind of threw it off for me, but I saw that it was a pattern and it works. Like I said, I'm not a poetry expert. From my view, this was nicely done! :) Well done!
