Black Swan

Have you ever seen a black swan?

It was believed that they didn't exist,

That they could only be white.

But when one saw a black swan,

what was going through his mind?

Was he scared or was he astonished?

Did people believe him when he shared his discovery?

Maybe they didn't,

But as time passed,

More Black swans were sighted.

Eventually, some were caught,

cut open to see if they bleed,

tested to see if they were poisonous or not,

soon a conclusion was made.

They're just swans,

Different color they may be,

but they're just swans.

There is no wizardry in that.

Thus black swan event proclaims,

Just because something hasn't happened yet,

Doesn't mean it'll never happen.
