SONG OF MY SOUL

SONG OF MY SOUL

A Poem by Druscilla Morgan

Song of my soul

You shiver in a moment of time

Cold

Lost in the torments of the mundane

I search for you

But all is silence

A vast stretch of desolation

Beyond the tears

Where do you hide sweet minstrel?

You play for me no more

The roar of silence

Dreams repressed

I know myself no more

Dead

You have taken the essence of me

And locked it away

In silence

I like the idea of how you are trying to find something inside of you. And that you are empty without it. Nice!
