ProtectionA Poem by ScottieThis is a poem about a Druid protecting his home from invaders.Protection. The trees around me is my protection forever. Looming above me. There hands are like levers into the sky. Reaching high, they have no limits. She is my mother, he is my father. They are my children. I must protect, I must stop you before you dissect. Killing my children for food? Cutting my Mother down for firewood? Fighting my father to feel superior? I could be nothing without you. But I will be something because of you. We are fine without your hate. This is my home, what you see is my family. I will DIE before you show your death at my door. But not without a fight. The bears claw, the tigers clamp there teeth. The lightning crashes. The fire lashes. You flee like the coward you are. Go back to your bar.
