Outside In

Outside In

A Poem by drtism
"

Finding yourself again

"
Tis an enchanting temptress the love of praise, we, with an unyielding angst so yearn for.
The pounding heart, the sigh, oh this feeling! We seek this destination more and more!

The power, the love, the connection, the energy flowing to us, if but only for a blink.
Perhaps there be a potion, a tonic, a plan, a way, to this charmer we must surely link.

So weary now, so empty, so lonely, so long, I, with earnest, did track this capricious vision,
What now?, too elusive, too slippery, was it real?, were my efforts but a fools mission?

Quiet now, all grey, no color, oh the desperation! Solitude, no music, just me, am I to be alone?
Faintly, slowly, it comes and it goes, but a song, a melody, so beautiful, as if I’ve always known.

As if from a dream I awake, very slowly, so groggy, what is this place?
These colors!, the love!, so warm, so inviting, I, brought back home by grace.
