Our Song

Our Song

A Poem by drtism
"

We all have a song to sing

"

Our Song

We, all born, a song inside to sing,
This tune, the essence of our being.

So sweet the the sound when first we hear.
Alone, a refuge, but others we do fear

Our melody, our own, at first does not fit,
Keep singing?, or to the crowd surrender it?

We need, we want, so bent our song,
The love, the feeling from others we so long.

One day, we miss something once inside,
What is it, where do we now hide.

If quiet, if we listen we can faintly hear,
That song, the melody once was so dear.

If something is dear to you, then never let it go. Great poem about determination and self-assurance. Stay confident. You have to do some editing to the piece, though. Thanks for sharing.
