Pathetic Petitioners

Pathetic Petitioners

A Poem by Désiré Desrosiers
"

My, my, just look at these children of adults act on a dream that will never come true. How cute. How pathetic.

"

My god, how pathetic some street petitioners are.

These people are such fools,

wasting their time and resources,

for what is their “realistic goal”

of creating a world without

hate and crime.

These twats believe that they can help obliterate harassment in schools.

Don’t make me laugh.

Harassment is a way of life.

No one can stop it,  it’s entwined in our minds.

No matter what you do,

no matter how much you know about minds,

no matter how much effort, you put into your pathetic petition,

for obliterating harassment,

your dream will never come true.

If we humans did not harass each other,

we would be similar to a bowl of rice.

Plain.

White.

No flavor.

No meat.

Nothing, but rice.

Perhaps I am wrong,

but there will always be conflict in this world.

There always has been, and there always will.

Say, isn’t this the sort of reality adults always boast about?
