You Don't Say?

You Don't Say?

A Poem by Désiré Desrosiers

Those people who tell me,

“You’ll run into people you don’t like

in the future.”

Are you kidding?

You are SO VERY wise.

That’s an undeniable statement.

Of course I will run into

more idiots

that I just want to strangle.

I have decades of my life left,

unless I end it,

of course I will run into more people

that I just want to torture.

Those people who say,

“You’ll run into people you don’t like

in the future.”

Incredible work, detective.

OF COURSE I needed someone

of higher experience

to point out

an unalterable fate?

“You’ll run into people you don’t like

in the future.”

is like saying

“You’ll die in the future.”

You don’t say?

Ha... you ended this perfectly.

Logical and amusing. A little dark...

I dig it.
